Hi! I’m Alessandro Balbi
I’m a Creative and technically driven 3D Generalist and Real-Time Artist with solid experience across CG, interactive installations, virtual production, and game engines. I have worked in both freelance and full-time roles, contributing to projects ranging from 3D environment creation and previs to VFX, motion graphics, and R&D for interactive and immersive experiences.
My background includes extensive use of Unreal Engine and Unity, combined with strong skills in Blender, Houdini, Substance Painter, and After Effects, as well as experience in technical art and pipeline development using Python and C#. I have contributed to the design and implementation of real-time environments, touchscreen applications, and interactive installations, bridging the gap between artistic vision and technical execution.
Alongside production work, I have gained experience as an instructor, delivering training in Unreal Engine and Unity, real-time rendering, Blueprint workflows, digital cinematography, and fundamentals of game development. I am comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams, adapting quickly to different pipelines, and contributing both creatively and technically to complex projects.
